Mystery Spontaneous quilt - strip piecing

Spontaneous quilt - Single size

This is made in  12  blocks. Each one is different.

Firstly get your self  12 bags and label then B1, B2, etc. to B12.
Please do it now - without these the pattern pieces will get very muddled.  I like to use clear plastic zip lock bags so I can see where I am up to and the pieces do not accidentally fall out.

Pace the feature blocks in the bags:

B1   One 12 1/2" x 12 1/2"
B2   One 5 1/2 " x 5 1/2 "
B3   One 6  1/2" x 6 1/2 "
B4   One 4  1/2" wide x 6  1/2  high
B5   One  7 1/2" wide x 5  1/2" high
B6   One 6  1/2" x 6 1/2 "
B7   One 5 1/2 " x 5 1/2 "
B9   One  6  1/2" wide x 8  1/2 " high
B11 One 6  1/2" x 6 1/2 " ONE  9 1/2 " wide x 6  1/2" high
B12 One 6  1/2" x 6 1/2 "  One 5 1/2 " x 5 1/2 "

At this stage we will be making the components of the blocks using strip piecing methods when possible. These instructions are not for WOF strips (width of fabric strips) use the pieces you have and keep joining until you have enough to cut the requires number of sections.

I have found a few errors in the original publication corrections are in RED

  1. OK, I'm in! I don't have a whole lot of WOF strips, though, so I re-ordered your strip sets to make it easier for me to come up with them individually. I'd be happy to share that list with you if you'd like.

  2. The instructions are not for WOF strips. As this is a stashbusting quilt you just continue to join strips until you have enough to cut the required pieces.
