My first ever publication has finally happened ... My trinity Celtic Knot quilt is in Austrlian Patchwork and quilting vol 19 no 3. ..... Not that it is an applique quilt like most of the others in this issue.
Update January 2012
This quilt has just been re published as the magazine is no longer available. The current publication is with Arbee designs

big time congrats, this is going to be an all time favorite in the near future. I bet we see them everywhere and we can say, "I knew the designer!" Mine is still in the UFO stage, I love this pattern, just have too many other TO-DO's to get back to it right now. This year I promise, finihed and quilted. Thanks for sharing. cheryl
ReplyDeleteCongratulations are in order. That is a beautiful quilt! Love the pattern and the fabrics that you've chosen. We visited Australia and Tasmania about 10 years ago. Met some really fun ladies and they shared their quilts with me. That was before I was even a quilter--so I'm hoping that this magazine gets out to lots of Australian quilters~~and maybe even those lovely ladies, wherever they are now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Is the pattern available for purchase? I know I could just figure it out from the photo, but would rather buy a pattern. Don't know if I can find the Magazine here...I'll check my LQS.

It is labeled an applique special but this is the non applique quilt in that issue of ausstralian patchwork and quilting.
The cost to have it posted to the USA is AUD $11.60 - which is less than a USA magazine here!!!
A really lovely quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have been all over the internet looking for that magazine and cannot find it anywhere. I am getting married this summer and think this would be the perfect gift for my fiance. If anyone can point me in the direction so I can find this pattern I would be most grateful!!
