Symmetric Quilt finish piecing

Starting with the North boarder add to the central section with feature fabrics the right way up.
Continue adding the west, South and east in that order.

Make strips of the frame fabric 2 1/2" wide and the length of the side. add all the way around.

Add B3 to B5 to form First border.

Add first border to B7 which is the central block. Where the first border extends beyond the center do not stitch the last couple of inches. Come back and do this after the other sections have been added.

This is the center with the first border complete.

Symmetric B6 and B7

 This is Block B6

 Add strip of frame fabric

 Join these two strips together first. Then add the strip. Finally the frame fabric on the right had side.

 Join these two groups together.

Join the first group to the top of the second group

 Add frame fabric to right and bottom of the larger piece of feature fabric

Mystery quilts -delay

Spontaneous mystery B5 and B6

 This is Block B5. (There were a couple of errors in the original strip list - the will be some strips left over and you will need an extra 2 1/2" square - sorry)

 Add Frame fabric to the the strip of two 3 1/2" squares.
Add other strips top form left section of block.






Add frame fabric to two sides of this strip

Add 2 1/2" square but only sew 1/2 length from outer edge.

Join groups to make this section

 Complete right side of block sewing the vertical line first and the horizontal line second.

Join the two sides of the block B5 together.
